Internationally acclaimed sculptor Richard Hunt is a natural fit to honor the officer candidates of the 17th Provisional Training Regiment and WAAC at Fort Des Moines. A Chicago native and U.S. Army veteran who served on the selection committee for the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., his life is a steady stream of creative success spanning five decades. His solo exhibitions, museum collections, and public sculptures are too numerous to mention.
