| First WAAC Deputy Finance Officer –
Second Officer Jean W. Schmidt of New York City receives
her appointment as the first Deputy Finance Officer in
the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps from Col. Frank U. McCoskrie,
Commandant of First WAAC Training Center, Fort Des Moines,
Iowa. The appointment is approved by the secretary of
War and by the Chief of Finance and was delivered to Second
Officer Schmidt by Colonel McCoskrie. |
